Wetland Scientist
Kolten has over 12 years professional experience with wetland and stream studies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Kolten is a Senior Professional Wetland Scientist (SPWS #2725) as recognized by the Society of Wetland Scientists. His responsibilities with RAI include wetland delineations, stream ordinary high-water mark determinations, wetland monitoring, expertise with the WDOE wetland rating system, and permit acquisition and oversight. Kolten has prepared numerous wetland delineation and critical area reports. Kolten is particularly experienced in local Critical Areas codes for floodplains, wetland ratings and associated buffers, buffer averaging, enhancement and mitigation measures, and management of projects during all phases of implementation and construction. Mr. Kosters provides 3rd party reviews for multiple jurisdictions throughout Puget Sound. His firsthand experience with critical area regulations is particularly valuable for compliance with local permits.
