Snoqualmie Ridge II Wetland and Buffer Mitigation

Snoqualmie, WA
Raedeke Associates has been associated with this planned development for over 20 years. From initial site observations and EIS work through stream and wetland delineations, to mitigation monitoring, we have provided wetland, wildlife, and habitat consultations for the project proponents to assist them with navigating through regulatory constraints at the local, state, and federal level.

Specific tasks included working with site engineers to develop the Master Drainage Plan (including a system of detention and infiltration ponds), evaluating water quality and hydrologic impacts of the development on wetlands including a sensitive Sphagnum bog, developing conceptual and final mitigation plans and construction documents to compensate for impacts from roadways and other impervious features, designing interpretive signs for the educational overlook, and many other tasks.

As for other projects of this size, we prepared U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington Department of Ecology permit applications and coordinated with agency representatives to generate a successful project for all concerned.
